The Jopostar Bluetooth Vinyl Record Player With Stereo Speakers is a budget player with a lot of great features. It definitely does not seem like it should be selling at such a low price.
So what’s the catch?
Honestly? There isn’t really one.
There are definitely some weak spots and obviously, this turntable won’t match more expensive models, but for the price, you’re getting a lot here.
That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right model for you. As mentioned, it does have its weaknesses.
We’ll take a closer look and see if those weaknesses are deal-breakers for you, or ones you can easily live with.
Jopostar Vinyl Record Player Review: Overview and Features
Jopostar’s latest model offers a higher level of connectivity and a more versatile design that gives you a variety of ways to listen to your favorite tracks.
If you know anything about the history of record players, then you’ll immediately pinpoint the style as being reminiscent of models made in the 1960s and 1970s.
This model is classified as an all-in-one system since it offers a variety of connection options and is compatible with external devices, can be hooked up to your PC or laptop, and works with smart devices as well. It also comes with built-in speakers so you can start enjoying your vinyl, right out of the box.
Package Details
Inside, you’ll find the following:
- Instruction manual
- CD editing software
- USB cable
- DC adapter
- Bluetooth turntable
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, you couldn’t ask for a more versatile model. Since it’s Bluetooth enabled you can hook it up to your smart devices, including tablets, smartphones, or even wireless Bluetooth speakers. You can also pair it with a Bluetooth compatible MP3 player and stream your digital music.
The MP3 Experience
If you’ve got some rare records, especially if they’re an original press, you may not want to play them often, in order to them in pristine condition.
But if you play the same tracks in another format, you miss out on the type of rich sound you can only get from vinyl. Often, digital music just sounds too cleaned up and lacks that special something.
Jopostar gives you a way to save your vinyl from regular wear and tear, while allowing you to still enjoy that vinyl sound, even on the go. Use the USB port to convert your vinyl collection into MP3 format so you can play it on an MP3 player or another type of compatible device.
Speakers
The two stereo speakers offer dual surround sound, for a listening experience that won’t fall flat. The deep bass, minimal distortion, and rich sound give you a whole new way to listen to your old vinyl collection.
That said, you will always get better sound from external speakers. You might not want to splurge on the absolute best floorstanding speakers for vinyl record players in this price range, but even something decent will give you a huge improvement over the built-in speakers.
Three-Speeds
Most modern turntables feature the standard three-speed option, so you can play seven, ten, and twelve-inch records at speeds of 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM.
Design
Portable, compact, and lightweight, the retro design will make you feel nostalgic, while the modern features provide more ways to listen to your favorite tracks. The solid wood design will complement any room and your existing audio setup.
Inputs And Outputs
Equipped with a 3.5 millimeter aux input, you can hook up an external device such as your smartphone or an MP3 player. The RCA output can connect to your home audio system or powered external speakers, if you need more volume than the built-in speakers can provide.
Other Important Specs
In terms of power, it has an output voltage of 300M volts and a line out of 500 MV, with a total power output of one and a half watts. This is an upgradable model, although it does come with some decent stock components including a ceramic cartridge, and a dynamically balanced tonearm.
Belt-Driven Motor
A belt-driven motor is designed to absorb noise and vibrations, thanks to how the motor is mounted. Belt-driven motors are mounted away from the platter, whereas the standard direct-drive motors are directly connected to the platter.
This motor spins a flywheel, which is connected to the platter via a belt. The belt-driven motor has a more complicated setup compared to a direct drive motor, but it also has plenty of advantages that you won’t get from the alternative.
The issue some audiophiles have with belt-driven motors is the fact that if the belt wears out, then the flywheel will not be machined precisely, which can negatively impact speed.
However, belt-driven motors have an advantage over direct-drive motors when it comes to speed. Both the flywheel and the belt can be replaced, should they wear out. If you’ve got a direct drive turntable, you won’t be able to do much if it wears out and begins to drag in terms of speed.
Belt-driven motors also produce less noise and vibration compared to other types of motors. This is because the motor has been moved away from the platter. With the belt as the only point of connection, this design helps to reduce vibration. Additionally, a direct drive model will usually come with fewer speed options, which can be a deal-breaker for some audiophiles.

- Bluetooth connectivity
- Record your vinyl music in MP3 format
- Belt-driven motor
- Three-speeds

- The location of headphone jack places it right by the spinning record, which seems like a design flaw and one that can make it awkward to use your headphones.
Performance
Despite their smaller size, the dual speakers can really kick out some sound. You’ll be surprised at the amount of bass they offer, and all without sounding flat or distorted.
You can also hook the turntable up to speakers in your existing system using the RCA output, or you can pair them with wireless active speakers if you’re looking for more volume. As it is, the volume level is about what you would expect from a turntable of this size, which means the sound may not fill your whole house, but it should be more than loud enough for casual listening.
This model scored well in terms of ease of use. Setting it up is a fast and simple process, thanks to the well-written user’s manual which goes over installation step by step and explains how each feature works.
If you’re new to modern turntable use, then you’ll definitely want to read the manual before you try your hand at converting your vinyl to MP3 format.
Build-wise, the turntable has a solid construction, with a rich light wooden base that adds a little heft to it, without taking away from the overall portability of the unit. The thick plastic cover helps to protect the platter from dust, which can make contact with your vinyl and cause a dip in sound quality.
Really, the simple design, combined with the many connectivity options makes this model a steal for the price. Even if you don’t listen to records on a daily basis, this all in one system will be a great addition to any setup.
Comparison To The Competition
So, how does this model by Jopostar stand up to the competition? Both the 1byone suitcase turntable and this model are three-speed, Bluetooth enabled turntables with built-in speakers.
Both are also belt-driven and highly portable, although the 1byone’s design is much more so. It offers the classic suitcase turntable style you may remember from the 1960s, complete with a carry handle and a lightweight build that makes it so much easier to transport.
This Jopostar turntable is also portable (though not quite as much) and can fit in nicely with your existing home sound system as well.
Another area in which these two models differ comes in the form of connectivity. With the 1byone, you won’t be able to convert your vinyl collection into MP3s, which is a big drawback. Aside from that, it offers the same types of connectivity options that this turntable does.
Overall, if the lack of a USB port isn’t a deal-breaker for you, then it will be more of a matter of choosing a style that suits your needs. Do you need a model that can easily be added to your existing home sound system or do you need a turntable that offers ultimate portability?
Jopostar Turntable With Stereo Speakers Review: Conclusion And Rating
Whether you’re an audiophile who prefers the classic, simple turntable, or you’re into the latest in audio tech, you’ll love what this model has to offer. Its versatility is the biggest selling point.
In addition to the connectivity options, it offer some great bells and whistles, like a tough belt-driven motor that minimizes vibration, so you can listen to your vinyl the way it was meant to be heard.
The Jopostar Bluetooth Vinyl Record Player With Stereo Speakers is one of the highest-rated record players with speakers on the market and it’s available at a price that won’t hit your wallet too hard.
It comes with a variety of connectivity options, including Bluetooth, and it allows you to plug in external devices, convert your vinyl collection to MP3 format and has a design that’s pure 1960s.
The built-in dual stereo speakers may not be the loudest, but with Bluetooth connectivity and the RCA output, you can pair the stereo with wireless speakers, or hook it up to the speakers in your home sound system.
Overall, this turntable will work well as a standalone all-in-one system or it can complement your existing setup. I gave this model a Top Record Players rating of 5 out of 5.
My turntable has quit working. It seems to be the motor. How do I get this record player replaced? I have owned it less than a year.
I’d contact the store or website where you bought it. Or contact the manufacturer directly.
The manufacture cannot be contacted as the website does not exist and email address does not exist.
I have this type of record player and I’ve had it for about a year. It’s been great but now when I turn it on it makes a deep humming noise and I can’t seem to stop it. How should I fix this?
You’ll need to contact the manufacturer or the store where you bought it. They’ll be able to troubleshoot this with you.
The manufacture cannot be contacted as the website does not exist and email address does not exist.
In this article, you mention that this unit has adjustable stylus pressure, but I cannot find an adjustment anywhere and it isn’t in the manual. Can you provide some insight?
The record player works fine. What stopped working are the speakers. They stay at a minimum volume. Any suggestions. The player is in our bedroom, so it is not close to any potential bluetooth connectivity.
The manual is very poor. The power cable is a very short USB cable that does not come with a wall adapter. The red power light is very bright and obnoxious, even from the other side of the room. Setting the sound setting the sound to the highest level, does not produce a very loud sound. However, my favorite “feature” is that the turntable setting for 45 RPM does not work. Setting the RPM to 45 causes the table to spin at 33 RPM. The 78 RPM setting works, for what that’s worth. The website for the company does not exist. Emails sent to the address in the manual are returned with a “Delivery Status Notification (Failure)”. Seriously was this review on the take? David Richard’s review seems as highly suspect the company that produced this turn table.
I have read and concur with Mr. Horvath’s information regarding attempting to contact the manufacturer. They are not to be located.
I bought this turn table for my wife for Christmas , But , we just got around to hooking it up today. So far the only thing I fond wrong with it is , when I turn on Bluetooth , the table stops turning ,,, Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong ???
I have the same question: Why does the turntable stop when Bluetooth is switched on?
